Executive Board

Below are descriptions of the Executive Board Officer roles at CRES PTO. Nominations for the board generally open from February through April with elections for the new board taking place in May. Officers are elected for one year and may serve no more than two consecutive terms in the same office. Each person elected shall hold only one office at a time. Executive Officers must be paid PTO members and must be cleared through our district, click here for more information. Time commitment for these roles varies, should you have any questions email president@crespto.net. We appreciate you taking the time to consider volunteering for these roles.

​The president is responsible for presiding over meetings of the organization and executive board, serve as a primary contact for the principal, prepare agenda, represent the organization at meetings outside the organization and coordinate the work of all officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served.

The co-president shall assist the current president with their duties listed above. This is meant as a first term training and learning position in order to take over the President role at some point.

Vice President of Fundraising
​The vice president of fundraising oversees all fundraising activities for the organization. This includes research, promotion and implementing fundraisers (including spirit nights).

Vice President of Community
The vice president of community shall assist the current vice president of fundraising with their duties listed above if needed. They shall oversee membership committee, event promotion, newsletter and act as the volunteer coordinator. 

The secretary shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes. They shall handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to membership, as requested by the president. The secretary also keeps a copy of the minutes book, bylaws, standing rules, membership list, contracts and any additional supplies and shall bring them to meetings.

The treasurer shall keep an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures, and pay out funds in accordance with the approval of the executive board. ​They shall receive all funds of the organization, count and deposit all funds, keep accurate record of deposits and turn deposit records into the president. They will also provide reports at meetings and work the CPA that files our taxes. 

Member at Large
​Members at Large each receive one vote and are members of the executive board. They will serve as a support to each of the other executive board members as needed and may also be specifically designated to a certain program or committee.​​
